Girls just want to have fun, they say! And these Cool Ties are one way for girls, boys, women and men to have fun at sporting activities, yard work, hiking, shopping, picnics... The list goes on and on about the many times one of these cooling neck wraps can cool you down, or even be a remedy for hot flashes. They come with nontoxic crystals sewn inside, which when soaked in water for about 20 minutes or so, absorb the water and turn into a gel. Once the tube has expanded to your liking, squeeze out the excess water so they won't drip on you, and tie it around your neck. Some other ways that you might want to use it is to tie it around your head as a headband, or wrap it around your wrist or other body part. When placed on the neck, they touch the carotid artieries and actually can lower your body temperature. As the cooling effect seems to lessen, just roll it so that a new area of the fabric is against your skin. They will remain cool for several days and are very easy to rejuvenate by simply putting back in clean tap water for a few minutes. When you're not wearing it, hang it up or place in a plastic bag or other container. Don't seal air away from it while it's still wet, as that might cause mold. Once it's completely dried, it can be stored in a sealed environment.
